It is a given. A insane reaction if Trump wins. If he loses there will be a different kind of unrest as the radicals try to undo everything that makes the country what it is (both good and bad).

At least we wont need the wall as there will be no reason to immigrate.

I still dont know anyone who died, let alone got covid, except one from april who recovered. I do know one each, heart, heart, alzheimers, renal. Just as real and more deadly

We still are not told details, age, gender, health, symptoms.

Whatof the places where there is not an election? There is way too much politics in the US narrative to believe anything. A big if on vaccines, both effectiveness and safety of rushed product.

hi everyone, hope all are well :).

just wondering, with all these zoom meetings and cancelled assemblies, just how the financial contribution system works in 2020?.

i obviously am wondering if it will have a huge impact on the wt org.. can someone kindly summarise how contributions are managed nowadays, both officially and anecdotally in kh's.. i was last attending around 2004, where there were x2 contribution boxes, the world wide work and kh fund.

Online to the jw.irg sight you can look up your local congregation and donate through them. I have no idea about fees, float until the money transfers, or such. The other choice is for the world wide interests. The lions share if the local donation is pledged right back anyway.

Wife (pimi) and I donate only to the locals.

what`s wrong with american politics ?.

96% of american people who got off there arse to vote, chose hillary clinton to be president of the united states of america over donald trump.. and the electoral college overode the will of the majority of the people who bothered to vote , and gave the office of president to donald trump who was the 2nd choice, an also ran , of the will of the people.. it`s a furphy to say that some larger blue/red states can dictate to smaller red/blue states or vice versa to rig the elections ,simply because people can, and do change there preferences in any one state whether it be traditionally red or blue.. both democrats and republicans are both guilty and responsible for the gerrymander that is the electoral college.. there i`ve said it ,.

nobody else seems to be able to say it how it is ,.

Political parties. Ask a question and if an answer is given (lots of dancing around really saying anything) it is the party line. I want a representative who will address my wants and needs, while being aware of needs others have so as to not trample on them.

Have one party who wants nothing but more taxes and control; the other wants to make everything private money. Medical care? Free? Or anything you can afford? No in between

in a recent effort to entice me back to meetings, an elder friend gave me the example of his dad.. he said that his pioneer/elder/ex-missionary dad went through the anticipation and disappointment of 1975 and yet, he kept going faithfully for decades afterwards.

the obvious point was that, if his dad can deal with disappointment, then, surely a nobody like me could do the same in regards to the scrapping of the 1914 generation doctrine, and all the other changes.

his 'encouragement' was to tell me that it was only me that felt like this, everyone else is fine and have no problems with the changes.
